Due to the upcoming retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the McCormick Board of Directors is undertaking a search for an exceptional CEO to continue leading the organization forward in its strategic vision. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO provides leadership to a staff complement of over 300 and is responsible for the pursuit and achievement of McCormick’s vision, mission, and strategic priorities.
As the senior operational executive and through the leadership of seven direct report staff members, the CEO is responsible for strategic leadership, financial oversight, team development, and successful management of the organization. In the context of changing political, economic, and social realities, the CEO must constantly evaluate programs and services in terms of their efficiency and effectiveness, stability and sufficiency of funding, as well as the delivery model of staff and contracted workers. Externally, the CEO will build and maintain close working relationships with decision-makers at funding agencies as well as with relevant senior officials in municipal, regional, and provincial government.
