This role provides administrative support across the association, helping ensure OLTCA delivers exceptional service to members and advances its mission of strengthening Ontario’s long-term care sector.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, CEO & Board Relations, the successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, coordinating people and projects, improving processes, and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Manager of Resident Care
The City of Greater Sudbury has evolved into a dynamic and diverse regional capital that functions as the service hub for all northeastern Ontario and is composed of a rich mix of urban, suburban, rural and wilderness environments. While mining remains a major influence on the local economy, the City has diversified significantly in recent years to establish itself as a major centre of financial and business services, tourism, health care and research, education and government. One of the geographically largest municipalities in Canada, with a population of over 190,000, and a booming economy, Greater Sudbury is a warm and welcoming community.
The City is seeking an accomplished and strategic healthcare leader to serve as Manager of Resident Care at Pioneer Manor, one of the largest municipally operated long-term care homes in Ontario, currently undergoing redevelopment from 433 to 444 beds. Reporting to the Director of Long-Term Care Services, the Manager serves as the legislated Director of Nursing and Personal Care under the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021. The Manager provides overall leadership, professional accountability, and operational oversight for nursing and personal care services throughout the Home. Leading a large clinical portfolio of approximately 400 nursing and personal care staff through a team of supervisory leaders, the Manager oversees clinical operations, labour relations, staffing, quality improvement, infection prevention and control, regulatory compliance, risk management, budgeting, and operational planning within a complex, highly regulated, and unionized environment. Working collaboratively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, community partners, and senior municipal leadership, the Manager ensures the delivery of high-quality, resident-centred care and promotes a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
