    Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer

    Position Description
    Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Assistant provides executive, governance, and administrative support to the Office of the CEO

    Executive Support to the Office of the CEO

    • Manage the day-to-day administration
    • Coordinate the CEO's calendar, meetings, travel, and executive commitments.
    • Prepare executive correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing notes, agendas, and meeting materials.
    • Monitor deadlines, action items, and follow-up to support executive priorities.
    • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, special projects, and communications
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and maintain executive and corporate records.
    Governance Support
    • Coordinate Board of Directors and Board Committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting logistics, Board packages, minutes, and follow-up actions.
    • Maintain Board records, including bylaws, policies, resolutions, declarations, minutes, and other governance documentation.
    • Support annual Board activities, including orientation, evaluations, governance policy reviews, and regulatory compliance.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the CEO, Board members, and Board Committees, facilitating effective communication and governance processes

  • Chief Executive Officer, Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) 

    The Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) is Ontario’s independent, not-for-profit regulator responsible for administering the Retirement Homes Act, 2010 (the Act) in the public interest. Its mandate is to enhance the safety, well-being, and protection of residents in the province’s licensed retirement homes by licensing and inspecting homes, overseeing compliance and enforcement, applying a risk-based regulatory approach, maintaining a public register, educating operators, residents, and the public, and advising government on sector trends, emerging issues, and policy considerations.
     
    Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer & Registrar provides strategic, operational, and regulatory leadership to the RHRA. In the CEO capacity, this leader is accountable for organizational performance, financial stewardship, risk management, people leadership, operational effectiveness, and execution of the strategic plan. As Registrar under the Act, the incumbent also holds statutory accountability for regulatory decision-making, including licensing, compliance and enforcement, inspections, and other authorities that support resident protection and strengthen public trust and confidence in RHRA’s regulatory role. The CEO & Registrar supports and advises the Board, works closely with the Ministry through effective government relations, accountability reporting, and policy advice, and ensures the RHRA delivers resident-centred, data-informed outcomes in the public interest.
